What was the highlight of ibis Newcastle
Very convenient, pleasant staff
I chose to stay here because of the location especially convenience of the light rail, as I was using it twice every day. The staff at the front desk are very helpful, Luke, Adrian and Joshua in particular. This was great as I was very disappointed in the housekeeping. On more than two occasions, my room was completely ignored or on the third time, the work seemed either half-hearted or very rushed. I wasn’t at the Ibis for just one night - it was like my ‘home’ for a week; and, this was my 2nd visit this year - I certainly expected better. In my life experience this kind of inefficiency always goes back to the lines of management and training. This really needs to improve for this hotel to keep customers, especially long term.
Apart from poor and unpredictable housekeeping, this hotel is convenient which is great. Nothing else was of concern.

What was the highlight of ibis Newcastle
Good
The bed was very comfy. The shower was great.
I would have liked 4 pillows instead of 3. The bathroom /shower was lovely but having to step up to it was not very suitable for me. Work on the site next door which started up at 2am and 3am on Saturday morning was a bit weird.

Comfortable reliable stay
Great location to my travels needs, along with friendly helpful staff. Love the fact that the rooms have windows that open for fresh air. Bed very comfortable and very clean bathroom
Bench top and bedside table had not been wiped properly. Used my own wipes to remove the stains.
